The Proceq GS8000 Pro has a detection capability of up to 10 meters according to the technical data sheet, depending on ground conditions and the target to be identified. It is important to consider that, in GPR, the actual depth does not depend solely on the equipment. Factors such as soil type, moisture, compaction, material, interference, and characteristics of the detected object can affect the range. Based on field experience, a more realistic average depth is usually around 6 meters. This allows for an honest commercial reference: the equipment has great depth capability, but the final result will always depend on the measurement environment.
The GS8000 Pro includes a lithium-ion battery with an approximate autonomy of 3.5 hours of continuous work. Additionally, it incorporates a parallel tray where a 65W power bank can be installed, providing greater flexibility to extend the workday in the field. This allows adapting the autonomy according to the project duration and working more continuously, without relying solely on the main battery. Simply put: the device is prepared for a flexible capture session. You can work with its included battery and, if you need more autonomy, complement it with compatible power banks.
No. The Proceq GS8000 Pro app works on iPad, so it is not available for Android tablets. This ensures an optimized workflow for capture, visualization, processing, and export of results from the compatible device. Therefore, when implementing the equipment, it is important to consider the use of iPad within the operational workflow.
Not necessarily. With the Proceq GS8000 Pro app on the iPad, you can already capture, view, analyze in the field, and export results in technical formats such as DXF or other traditional formats. This allows you to identify pipes, buried services, and general findings directly from the tablet, without necessarily relying on additional software. However, the GPR Insights post-processing software can be very useful when you need to corroborate, reinforce, or deepen the analysis performed in the field. It is ideal for projects that require a more detailed review, greater traceability, or a more complete technical presentation of the results. In summary: the app allows you to work and export results in the field; GPR Insights helps validate, review, and strengthen the analysis when the project requires it.
